In addition to our employees' involvement in the community, Mutual of Omaha offers community support through several other avenues. The following are examples of some additional community programs that Mutual of Omaha sponsors:
In 2003, a unique group of government, business and neighborhood leaders announced plans to fund a study that would define future development and growth for the Midtown Omaha area, near the
Mutual of Omaha campus.
Mutual of Omaha helped spearhead the project, named "Destination Midtown." The intent of the study was to assess the community's strengths and weaknesses to help define steps for creating a new, vibrant destination in Omaha. The group envisioned a unified commercial and residential community that would attract more people to the area for recreation, as to live, raise families, work and shop.
