What are the odds?
- An illness or accident will keep 1 in 5 workers out of work for at least a year before the age of 65.1
- Close to 90 percent of disabling accidents and illnesses are not work-related.2
- Only 34.1 percent of almost 2.2 million people who applied for Social Security disability benefits were approved in 2007.3
