By curating data and enabling contemporary data consumption tools our business partners have accelerated the time to action, decision-making, and analysis to help achieve our company mission: help our customers protect what they care about and achieve their financial goals. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $123,000-$145,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead a team of developers to efficiently design, deliver, and maintain holistic and consumable data product solutions. Accountable for full-funnel development including data discovery, data curation, and semantic data model development in alignment with stakeholder needs, best practices, and the Financial Data Strategy’s strategic roadmaps and frameworks.
  • Develop and enforce consistent technical standards for the team including documentation, version control, data validation, and automation to ensure that the data product solutions are accurate and efficient.
  • Support team of developers through project management, prioritization of tasks, strategic direction setting, technical guidance, and active collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and IS partners. Accountable for ensuring key deadlines and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Attract, retain, and grow developer talent by providing coaching, setting ambitious goals, creating stretch opportunities, and advocating for ongoing skill development for team members.
  • Partner with leadership and IS to assess and improve tools, processes, and capabilities related to the creation of consumable data products while ensuring alignment with strategic direction.
  • Lead by example to foster a culture of learning and innovation, challenging the status quo, encouraging a "test and learn" mindset, and setting strategic direction for their team.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in directly managing teams, including performance management, coaching, and fostering team development.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in data-centric roles, demonstrating expertise in data research, curation, analysis, and organization
  • Strong proficiency in core technical skills, including SQL for data querying and programming languages such as Python or R for enabling complex data manipulation and automation of analytical processes.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving innovation and continuous process improvements, leading initiatives that optimize workflows, enhance data capabilities, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the proven ability to effectively manage team dynamics, prioritize tasks, and align team efforts with broader organizational objectives.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Extensive experience with semantic tools such as SSAS, PowerBI, PowerPivot, and other related platforms, leveraging these tools to build and optimize data models, reporting solutions, and support business intelligence initiatives.
  • Proficient in Python, particularly in data-related applications such as Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, automation of data pipelines, and data manipulation to support advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Strong background in data architecture or design, with experience in structuring and organizing data systems to ensure scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business needs for both operational and analytical purposes.
