Mutual of Omaha’s Law Operation is seeking a talented and versatile paralegal to join our Corporate Services team to assist attorneys with contracting and transactional matters.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Salary: $70,000-$105,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications)
- Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
- Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
- Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2025, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
- Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2025, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2025 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Analyze and revise various contract documents, maintain document version control, and organize project files and related data.
- Assist with all aspects of: merger and acquisition projects; corporate transactions; financing, due diligence, and regulatory activities; closing/post-closing activities; corporate governance activity.
- Perform legal research on regulatory issues, organize research results, and track critical dates for regulatory filings and financial instruments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Investment Management Division, Enterprise Risk/Compliance, etc.)

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Minimum five years’ experience as paralegal specializing in transactional/corporate work or contracting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or Certified Paralegal credential
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment; superior written and verbal communications skills; strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Superior organization skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and track progression of short- and long-term tasks.
- Ability to track information and organize datasets using Excel; skilled in use of Microsoft Office products and Lexis Nexis.

- Ability to work at our home office located in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment.

PREFERRED:
- Experience in an insurance company legal department or law firm who represented insurance companies.
- Corporate governance experience.
- Regulatory compliance experience.
