Are you a strategic leader passionate about driving large-scale technology initiatives and fostering continuous improvement? Mutual of Omaha is seeking an experienced I/S Principal Solution Delivery Manager to lead complex programs and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) consisting of 5+ dedicated teams. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate with senior leaders, optimize delivery frameworks, and champion value-driven results across diverse technology landscapes. If you excel in navigating complexity, coaching teams, and delivering business-critical solutions, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact within a Fortune 500 company.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $139,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Work-life balance with vacation, personal time and paid holidays. See our benefits and perks page for details.
  • Applicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Oversee end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of multi-million-dollar initiatives. Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and quality metrics while ensuring compliance with enterprise policies. Develop and execute comprehensive project management and communication strategies for large-scale efforts.
  • Serve as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), Solution Train Engineer (STE), or Program Manager, managing 5+ stable teams (50+ dedicated resources) to develop and deliver complex technology solutions. Act as a key member of the Leadership Triangle, driving strategic alignment and execution.
  • Act as a strategic consultant and thought leader, coaching teams and senior leadership on Agile and SAFe best practices. Design and deliver training, develop reference materials, and implement evidence-based strategies to optimize value flow.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define success factors, establish measurable goals, and proactively identify risks. Continuously analyze program performance, adjust execution strategies, and communicate key insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Utilize a range of methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, SAFe, PMBOK) to customize execution approaches, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery. Avoid a “one-size-fits-all” approach, instead fostering an adaptable and resilient delivery model.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience leading complex programs with an annual internal labor cost exceeding $5 million, successfully managing dependencies and delivery across 5+ Agile teams, along with 5-10 years of combined project and/or program management experience in increasingly progressive technology roles.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets with multiple abstract and concrete variables, drawing actionable insights to optimize program performance. Demonstrated expertise in risk management, problem-solving, and influencing key stakeholders to drive outcomes.
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams, advocating for change, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability. Strong coaching skills to empower teams and individuals, creating an environment of trust, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance industry operations, business processes, and diverse technologies (mainframe, web, cloud, AI) to effectively align tech solutions with business goals.
  • PMP + RTE + Kanban or SPC (SAFe Program Consultant) within 18 months of hire. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and Agile maturity. Bachelor's Degree in Related field of study (Business Administration/Management Information Systems) or equivalent internal experience required.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Ability to work in the greater Omaha metro, in a hybrid environment.

PREFERRED:

  • Advanced Agile certifications such as C.S.M. (Certified Scrum Master), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or Certified DevOps Practitioner.
  • Additional SAFe certifications (SA, SSM, SP) to support scaled Agile and continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Continuing professional education (20 hours annually) and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related fields.

We value diverse experience, skills, and passion for innovation. If your experience aligns with the listed requirements, please apply!
