Wiens Promoted at Mutual of Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. – Doug Wiens has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Institutional Products at Mutual of Omaha. He oversees the company’s institutional investment and institutional annuity product lines.  

Wiens started at Mutual in 1999. He began as an Actuarial Assistant, gaining exposure to a number of product areas within the organization by 2004. In 2006, he joined the Retirement Plans department, taking a leadership role as Manager of Business Systems. Wiens was promoted to Director of Operations in 2008. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Retirement Plans and Institutional Products. 

Wiens earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. He has volunteered in several capacities in the community, including as a Mutual First Credit Union board member and coaching area sports teams.
