We are seeking a motivated individual to join our initiative-taking Reinsurance team to support our continued growth and success. The Reinsurance Sr. Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing, monitoring, and reporting the financial performance of our reinsurance agreements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $74,000-$95,500, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Monitor and analyze financial data related to reinsurance, including premium, claims and reserves. Report on the financial performance of the reinsurance agreement.
  • Recommends actions to management throughout the enterprise, identifies trends, risks, and indicators through analysis of financial and nonfinancial data.
  • Accountable for the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly reports serving both internal and external customers. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned. Seeks out projects and takes leadership role with increasing frequency.
  • Leads and documents key processes, decisions, and insights in Reinsurance Life Administration.
  • Collaborate with finance, underwriting, actuarial and claims team to understand business products and strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong knowledge of finance and/or accounting practices and procedures preferably common to an insurance industry finance environment.
  • Strong data analysis and analytical skills
  • Aptitude for technical learning and application to tactical business problems. Must have the ability to learn modern technologies and apply this knowledge to optimize processes.
  • Creative analytical person with a focus on process improvement/automation and reducing manual work.
  • Self-driven with demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, influence change with peers, management, and business partners.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of life insurance products, Reinsurance structures or experience with Tindall Associates Inc. (TAI) Life Reinsurance administration system.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Power Query/Pivot.
  • Strong technical skills to aid in data extraction, manipulation, and consolidation.
