Mutual of Omaha’s Individual Underwriting team is seeking an amazing coach who will provide behavior-based quality reviews with a continuous learning mindset. In this role you will evaluate the quality of service and adherence to guidelines and processes by the Individual Underwriting teams. You will provide personalized coaching to your assigned teams through actionable feedback and recommendations in accordance with the quality program. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications): 
    • Underwriting Quality Auditor I: $25.00 - $30.00 (Hourly Wage), plus annual bonus opportunity. 
    • Underwriting Quality Auditor II: $66,500 - $75,000 (Annual Salary), plus annual bonus opportunity. 
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure service accuracy, adherence to standards, and support for associates, vendors, and audits. 

  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure, demonstrating flexibility to meet deadlines. 

  • Communicate effectively using clear, concise, and professional language, leveraging modern tools and active listening skills. 

  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information, utilizing quality design processes to stay objective. 

  • Pursue continuous improvement by exploring new ideas, leveraging industry technologies, and staying updated on company and regulatory changes. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Insurance or medical terminology experience. 

  • Analytical and decision-making skills including high attention to detail, effective time management and organizational skills.  

  • Adept at problem solving, including the ability to work with technology and various software packages.   

  • Strong self-sufficiency with demonstrated experience managing assigned work and meeting deadlines while remaining flexible to changing needs. 

  • Strong knowledge of relevant federal and state legislation and regulations. 

  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • 2-3 years of experience with life and/or health insurance products.  

  • Proven oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate instructions and information to a dynamic audience.  

  • Experience facilitating presentations.
