This dynamic team is responsible for activating the vision that empowers internal financial data consumers throughout the enterprise with easy access to trusted data. By curating data and enabling contemporary data consumption tools our business partners have accelerated the time to action, decision making and analysis to help achieve our company mission: help our customers protect what they care about and achieve their financial goals. The impact of this team to date has been so powerful that there is now a critical need for an experienced Business Systems Consultant (BSC) to further evolve our data landscape by identifying and advocating for changes to business processes, systems, data, and reporting / analytics.  Be a part of a fun, collaborative team committed to transformation at a stable Fortune 500 company! 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications): 
    • Business Systems Consultant II: $84,500-$139,500, plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Business Systems Consultant III: $97,000- $160,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate requirements as they impact business processes, systems, data, and reporting / analytics. Advocate for / be a liaison for business partners to help build the business case for making a change and assess that results were achieved.
  • Facilitate cross team project management in the development of solutions. Partner with business stakeholders, leadership, Information Services, and the FADS teams to educate and influence on concepts. 
  • Lead the development of high-level test strategies (manual and automated) that plan, clearly define and document the testing approach and performing testing of solutions to ensure requirements are met.
  • Develop, review, and implement comprehensive communication and training plans for internal business partners to increase the speed of adoption and benefit realization.
  • Actively lead efforts to research, analyze, and evaluate new and emerging business systems / data technologies, process improvement practices, and change management methodologies.   

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Expert-level knowledge of and proven abilities in business analyst, project management, organizational change management, and continuous process improvement competencies on data projects and enhancements. 
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and affect change across diverse stakeholder groups of all levels in a high-performing team environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business partnerships including anticipating customer needs, scheduling priorities across multiple business partners / teams, and resolving conflicts. 
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated leadership role in business system / data / reporting / analytic tools and terminology.
  • Expert / developing to expert level knowledge of financial data flows, repositories, data consumption tools/technologies, the insurance industry, and the business environment.  
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of insurance products, the insurance industry, actuarial science, related legislation, and business operation procedures and practices.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge); IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis); Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability & Requirements (ADKAR); Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBOK); and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Working knowledge of test and process automation.
