Compensation Disclosure for Single Premium Group Annuity Products
Mutual of Omaha will pay brokers, consultants and insurance agents ("Producers") who sell Mutual of Omaha's Pension Guard® single premium group annuity product a commission that is determined by agreement with the Producer and plan sponsor either as a set dollar amount or as a percentage of the premium paid to Mutual of Omaha (generally up to 5%).
The commission amount or percentage will be set at the time of each sale and will be included in the proposal or other written disclosure provided to the plan sponsor. An authorized representative of the plan must agree in writing to the payment of the commission by Mutual of Omaha to a Producer on the sale of the Pension Guard product prior to issuance of the policy.
A plan or plan sponsor may also elect to compensate Producers directly for services relating to the sale of the Pension Guard product. Any such compensation may be in lieu of or in addition to commissions paid by Mutual of Omaha, as determined by the Producer and plan representative or plan sponsor.
Mutual of Omaha does not compensate Producers for the sale of its Pension Guard product other than by the payment of commissions. However, Mutual of Omaha also may provide to Producers from time to time customary, non-excessive meals and entertainment, and may pay reasonable education, training or conference expenses for Producers.
This Compensation Disclosure does not apply to compensation paid to Mutual of Omaha employees or Producers who are clearly identified as exclusive to Mutual of Omaha with respect to the sale of single premium group annuity products.
